Job Summary

Drive technical pre-sales for complex opportunities by designing scalable, performant applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB. Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies, translating technical value into business outcomes while partnering with sales on deal execution (discovery, demos, proof of value, sizing, documentation). Generate demand via technical initiatives and events, build customer champions, and continuously improve MongoDB solutions by feeding field learnings back to the product team.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and architect scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB.
•Advise customers on MongoDB architecture patterns and optimization strategies while communicating business value to stakeholders.
•Partner with sales to drive account success via account planning, opportunity qualification/prioritization, pipeline generation, and technical ownership across discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
•Proactively generate demand in the sales territory through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
•Foster customer success by building champions and mentoring other Solutions Consulting team members, while continuously improving solutions and processes based on field feedback.

Key Requirements

•5 to 8 years of related industry experience, ideally including 2 years in a customer-facing role.
•Minimum 2 years of experience with modern scripting languages (Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional capacity.
•Experience implementing scalable, highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem.
•Ability to review complex customer application architecture and provide guidance on improvements using technology.
•Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for conveying complex technical and business concepts to technology and business leadership.
