Perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-advanced repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment. Lead jobsites and provide customer-focused communication, diagnose complex mechanical/hydraulic/electrical/electronic issues, and mentor other technicians. Independently manage parts inventory, service-vehicle readiness, documentation on Repair Orders, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems using test instruments, road tests, and diagnostic judgment.
•Mentor and teach other technicians and support Mobile Technician Manager duties in their absence; assist with quality control inspections.
•Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including reconciliation and vendor parts sourcing as needed.
•Maintain service-vehicle safety readiness, complete DOT forms and Repair Orders documentation, and document/upload findings using company tools and the TRAIT application.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 7 years of experience in a related field (or equivalent combination).
•Obtain and maintain required ASE certifications (ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE C1 (Service Consultant)) within 18 months.
•Obtain ASE 608/609 certification within 18 months.
•Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
•Have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
