Key Responsibilities

•Advise UK and EMEA business teams on legal matters as they arise, including financial regulation, consumer protection, payments, banking, marketing standards, and partnerships.
•Support new product launches and market expansions, including license applications, corporate matters, and commercial agreements with the business and global legal team.
•Own contract lifecycle activities with bank partners, online platforms, and enterprise customers from structuring and drafting through negotiation.
•Assess and advise on risks specific to API integrations, including country risk, feature launches, regulatory implications, and partner relationship risk.
•Mentor and upskill business teams and legal colleagues, review and maintain templates, and streamline legal processes in the UK and occasionally EMEA.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 100,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

•4–7 years PQE and a UK-qualified lawyer.
•Experience in the banking or payments industry.
•Prior law firm or in-house experience focused on payments, card processing, financial services, banking, or investments.
•Proven ability in commercial contract structuring, drafting, and negotiation.
•Strong interest and experience in financial services regulation, including payments, consumer protection, banking, and investments.
