Job Summary

Own end-to-end product compliance risk assessments for Circle’s Payments product pillar, covering managed payments, regulated digital asset payment flows, and cross-border settlement. Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy, Enterprise Risk, Security, and Treasury to define controls, drive readiness for new markets, and embed compliance early in the product lifecycle. Monitor evolving regulatory and DeFi developments, and help build data-driven, AI-enabled compliance processes to improve risk assessment velocity.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead end-to-end risk assessments for Circle Payments Network, managed payments, and regulated digital asset payment flows.
•Oversee Payments Pillar assessments across compliance tooling, transaction traceability, scalability, governance, and regulatory alignment.
•Partner across Product, Legal, Policy, Security, Enterprise Risk, Treasury, and Engineering to ensure initiatives meet compliance and risk standards.
•Coordinate readiness for new market entries and enhancements to existing payment rails.
•Embed compliance into product development by identifying regulatory/operational requirements early and developing proactive solutions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 140,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, and/or risk management.
•7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related functions at a fintech/crypto/payments company, including at least 3 years in product compliance.
•Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and global payments and financial regulatory compliance requirements (payment networks, money movement, settlement, stablecoins, virtual asset-enabled products).
•Experience assessing compliance and operational risk in payment networks or regulated payment platforms, including controls for onboarding, transaction execution, settlement, exception handling, and ongoing monitoring.
•Deep knowledge of virtual assets, blockchain/distributed ledger technology, and regulated digital asset payment models, including how stablecoins and network-based payment products operate.
