Job Summary

Lead the design, execution, documentation, and continuous enhancement of a risk-based AML/CFT risk assessment framework supporting BaaS and embedded finance activities. Serve as a subject matter expert across all three lines of defense to identify, assess, document, and help mitigate financial crimes risk. Own enterprise risk assessment and new product/partner reviews, govern approval conditions and controls, and prepare documentation for audits and regulatory examinations while mentoring a team of AML/CFT professionals.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct and manage the enterprise-wide AML/CFT risk assessment program, including refresh cycles, methodology updates, and governance reporting.
•Oversee AML/CFT risk assessment execution across customers, products, geographies, delivery channels, partners, and transactions, producing findings, residual risk ratings, and control gap analyses.
•Integrate FinCEN priorities, emerging typologies, regulatory feedback, audit findings, monitoring results, SAR/CTR trends, and third-party risk indicators into the methodology.
•Lead AML/CFT reviews for new products, partners, and initiatives, ensuring mitigating controls, conditions of approval, risk acceptance criteria, readiness requirements, and escalation triggers are defined.
•Partner cross-functionally with compliance, technology, operations, and internal audit; provide documentation and evidence for audit and regulatory exams; mentor and develop AML/CFT risk professionals.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree required.
•8+ years of progressive AML/CFT compliance experience, including at least 4 years in a risk, program management, or leadership role.
•Direct experience in regulated banking environments, with experience in BaaS, fintech partnership banking, or OCC-regulated institutions strongly preferred.
•Deep knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN regulations, FFIEC AML/CFT Examination Manual, and OCC supervisory expectations.
•Proficiency assessing AML risk across multiple product types and familiarity with transaction monitoring systems, case management platforms, and AML risk assessment tooling.
