Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and optimize analog circuit architectures and transistor-level solutions to meet noise, distortion, power, and cost requirements.
  • •Take responsibility for projects with teams of analog engineers and oversee custom physical circuit layout drawings.
  • •Define internal chip interface requirements between analog and digital circuits and review/revise chip package pinout/ballout and routing.
  • •Design and/or review PC test board schematics, characterize IC performance with lab equipment, and debug issues found during characterization.
  • •Work with automatic test engineers (ATE) to develop production tests and document analog circuit operation and performance.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of related experience (with a Bachelors degree); post-graduate coursework may be desirable or a Masters/PhD with less experience.
  • •Proficiency in analog design including high-speed amplifiers (up to hundreds of MHz) and high-speed comparator design.
  • •In-depth knowledge of CMOS devices and analog system analysis for noise, linearity, and power optimization.
  • •Experience with analog and mixed-signal IP design including ADCs, DACs, references, oscillators, and LDOs.
  • •CAD and tool proficiency: RF simulation tools, Cadence design tools (including Analog Artist and Virtuoso), simulation, layout design, and verification/extraction.
