Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Develop detailed design packages and provide engineering procurement and field technical support to implement plant designs.
•Prepare conceptual deliverables including cost estimates, labor-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and Title II engineering deliverables (calculations, analyses, construction specifications and drawings).
•Work with integrated project teams and perform plant walkdowns to generate design documents and provide field support to craft personnel.
•Apply electrical engineering expertise with instrumentation/controls focus to troubleshoot existing plant systems and inform corrective design actions.
•Design control cabinet assemblies, system diagrams, and control logic for batch and continuous processes using analog instrumentation, distributed digital control systems, and PLC/HMI tools, including development of process control narratives and inputs to P&IDs.

Key Requirements

•ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 20+ years of experience, or an MS with 19+ years and 5+ years of instrumentation and controls design experience.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance.
•Ability to obtain a clearance and meet WSAP random drug testing program requirements in addition to pre-employment drug screening.
•Pass a pre-employment/post-offer drug test and complete any required job-related pre-placement medical exams.
•Demonstrated experience using the National Electrical Code (NEC), UL508A, and relevant ISA standards for instrumentation and controls systems.
