Key Responsibilities

  • •Review DTS travel authorizations and vouchers for completeness, accuracy, documentation, and compliance with JTR, DoD 7000.14-R, and Navy/NSWC PCD travel policies.
  • •Process virtual conference travel in DTS, correct inaccurate or noncompliant DTS documents without changing scope, and generate required authorizations/vouchers.
  • •Provide “how-to” guidance on DTS and Government travel requirements to travelers via phone, email, or in person during business hours (0700–1630, Monday–Friday).
  • •Research and estimate travel costs using Government-designated tools such as SATO and DTMO TraX, and create purchase requests for non-DTS travel orders in NERP.
  • •Generate and analyze DTS reports, update logs for actual costs and reimbursements, and archive official travel records per SECNAV M-5210.1 CH-1 and the Navy’s records management system (HPE-RM).

Key Requirements

  • •US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a thorough background check (Public Trust).
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • •Ability to interpret and apply travel and accounting policies, methods, and procedures.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction across NSWC PCD.
  • •Experience supporting Government travel operations or working in a DoD travel office.
