Job Summary

Lead scale-up and qualification of manufacturing processes and equipment from R&D through pilot and 24/7 high-volume production, working cross-functionally across engineering, supply chain, EHS, and quality. Drive complex equipment/process changes using stage-gate methods, troubleshoot to improve safety, throughput, yield, and performance, and apply structured problem-solving and statistical methods (DOE/SPC) to implement continuous improvements. Use SQL, Python, JMP, and Power-BI to build process control and excursion-prevention systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead scale-up and qualification of new processes and equipment from R&D through pilot to 24x7 high-volume manufacturing.
•Initiate and lead complex equipment/process changes via the CMS stage-gate process and coordinate replication with global alignment teams.
•Troubleshoot equipment and processes to improve safety, throughput, yield, and performance benchmarks.
•Use structured problem-solving and statistical methods (e.g., DMAIC, 8D, DOE, SPC) to identify, test, and implement continuous improvements.
•Develop, continually improve, and document robust solar module manufacturing processes; define and implement corrective/preventive actions and lead task forces and project teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 112,300 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelors/Masters/PhD in an engineering discipline or physical science (or equivalent).
•More than 8 years of process engineering and/or R&D experience in a manufacturing environment, including semiconductor or PV or battery manufacturing technology development with areas like thin-film deposition, thermal processing, wet coatings, automation, laser processing, or metrology/measurement systems.
•Fluent with statistical analysis and structured problem-solving; experience analyzing large data sets using JMP, SAS, or Minitab and analytical AI solutions for manufacturing problems.
•Experience with photovoltaics manufacturing flow or technology development, including thin film vacuum deposition, glass thermo-mechanical processing, module packaging/structural development, semiconductor processes, or electrical device integration.
•Ability to lead small technical teams, including goal-setting and performance management.
