Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-site supervision of the directional drilling process, projecting the well path to predetermined target coordinates.
  • •Ensure BHA assembly as planned, including correct make-up torque, doping, and handling; support completion of daily directional drilling and BHA performance reports.
  • •Perform survey calculations and well path projections; update well profile plots and provide accurate directional survey data to the client representative.
  • •Coordinate with the MWD engineer to ensure BHA compatibility, verify planned operating parameters, and apply correct toolface references.
  • •Assist with service tickets and well-site paperwork, inspect DD equipment, maintain equipment records, and ensure proper equipment layout and backload at job end.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Minimum of 2 years of field experience in directional drilling, L/MWD, or SDL.
  • •Proficiency with directional drilling concepts including BHA selection and DD performance.
  • •Must have a Class 5 non-GDL driver’s license and be able to provide a copy of the driver’s abstract.
  • •Reading comprehension and writing skills; basic computer skills and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations are preferred.
