Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop detailed mechanical BIM models and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD for building projects.
  • •Support design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to enable safe, efficient, and sustainable buildings.
  • •Collaborate with architectural, structural, and electrical teams to produce coordinated, high-quality multidisciplinary designs.
  • •Apply and interpret BC Building Code, BC Plumbing Code, National Building Code, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards during design development.
  • •Support construction phase activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing shop drawings and field questions.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • •Eligibility for registration with ASTTBC.
  • •Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD in a buildings context.
  • •Experience preparing mechanical BIM models, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • •Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems and building construction practices.
