Job Summary

Lead instrumentation and controls (I&C) engineering for multidisciplinary process infrastructure projects across environmental infrastructure, oil & gas, mining, water/wastewater, and landfills. Develop I&C design documents, review vendor drawings, and participate in P&ID and design reviews. Prepare control deliverables (narratives, diagrams, layouts) and configure/program controls equipment including PLCs, HMIs, DCS, and SCADA. Ensure compliance with codes and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop I&C design documents such as design drawings, technical specifications, and design basis calculations.
•Review instrument and control systems vendor drawings and coordinate interfaces with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines.
•Create and review control deliverables including control narratives, diagrams, instrument layouts, installation details, and wiring/interconnection documents.
•Prepare instrument data deliverables such as instrument datasheets, I/O lists, instrument index, instrument selection, and hazardous area classification.
•Configure and develop programming for controls equipment including PLCs, HMIs, DCS systems, and SCADA; support client/project review meetings and FAT.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) from an ABET accredited program.
•5–7+ years of relevant experience.
•Advanced knowledge of instrumentation engineering and field instrumentation.
•Advanced knowledge of applicable design standards (e.g., API, NFPA, ISA, IEC, IEEE, ISO, NACE, NESC).
•Strong communication and people management skills, plus the ability to pass a background check.
