Key Responsibilities

•Draft and update group-wide financial crime policies, standards, and frameworks; ensure drafts are technically accurate, well-referenced, and consistent across jurisdictions, entities, and product lines, including policies for stablecoins and KYW due diligence.
•Conduct detailed regulatory research and benchmarking across UK, EU, and other jurisdictions to inform framework design and evolution; produce concise briefing notes.
•Support development of framework inputs for new client verticals by gathering risk inputs, mapping typologies, and drafting initial controls.
•Handle day-to-day policy queries from the business, providing interpretations and escalating complex matters with a recommended position.
•Maintain version control, change logs, and the central library of financial crime policies and frameworks.
•Map existing financial crime controls across business units, identify friction points, duplication, and inefficiency for leadership review.
•Support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of crypto compliance tools (TM, screening, Travel Rule); identify automation and AI use cases; support AI tooling rollout and governance.
•Assist with on-chain investigations, risk assessments, and executive reporting; prepare data and draft sections for governance papers and horizon scanning.
•Produce MI on the health of the Financial Crime Programme; develop dashboards and recurring reports; analyze data to identify trends and anomalies.
•Contribute to crypto compliance training modules and content delivery, reflecting regulatory developments and crypto-native red flags.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of AML/CTF Compliance, Financial Crime, or Regulatory Risk within financial services — ideally payments, FX, banking, FinTech or Crypto.
•Strong understanding of stablecoins, public blockchains, wallet infrastructures and the crypto compliance toolset (on-chain analytics, screening, Travel Rule). Hands-on experience with crypto compliance vendors (e.g. Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic, Notabene, Sumsub or equivalents).
•Proven ability to draft clear, technically accurate compliance documentation (policies, procedures, risk assessments, committee papers, briefing notes).
•Working knowledge of UK and/or EU financial crime regulation, including crypto regulation (MiCA, TFR / Travel Rule, FATF guidance).
•Analytical mindset with comfort working with data; Excel to a high standard; preferred experience with BI tools and/or SQL.
