Lead global technology procurement strategy for a $800M annual technology spend, partnering with the Global CIO, CTO, and agency IT teams to maximize value from software assets and supplier relationships. Manage a team of 9 procurement professionals across Software & AI and IT Services/Telecom/Infrastructure/Cloud, plus a supporting group in Mumbai. Create a 3–5 year procurement plan, build stakeholder relationships, and drive efficiency, risk management, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee WPP’s annual technology spend of approximately $800 million and drive value from technology investments, software assets, and supplier relationships.
•Lead a global team of 9 procurement professionals across Software & AI and IT Services/Telecom/Infrastructure/Cloud.
•Guide a supporting team of 4 colleagues based in Mumbai.
•Create and lead a 3-to-5-year technology procurement plan aligned to WPP business goals.
•Partner with the Global Chief Procurement Officer and Global CIO to align supply chain activities with WPP’s technology roadmap.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record leading, mentoring, and developing procurement teams in a global or complex organisation.
•Deep experience managing complex technology categories, including software, cloud, and emerging technologies such as AI.
•Ability to build trust, influence decisions, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
•Experience helping teams navigate change and thrive in evolving, fast-paced environments.
•Strong negotiation skills and experience building mutually beneficial partnerships with major global technology suppliers.
