Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and deliver quarterly team goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended reliability problems.
  • •Collaborate across infrastructure, product management, developer experience, and analytics to participate in ideation and decisions that consider risks and trade-offs.
  • •Proactively identify technical solutions and operational processes that strengthen incident readiness, response, and post-incident analysis.
  • •Create and monitor metrics for your team’s artifacts, escalate when needed, and support keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts.
  • •Set or improve code review and design standards, advocate beyond the team through writing and tech talks, and develop talent through feedback and guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using scripting/development languages such as Bash, Python, or Kotlin.
  • •Track record developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • •Meaningful experience contributing to or driving parts of the Incident Lifecycle process to improve reliability, resilience, and system performance.
  • •4+ years working in a Site Reliability or Production Engineering team.
  • •Demonstrated experience defining delivery plans for significant system components and writing high-quality, extensible code.
