Electrical Overhead Lines Engineer responsible for leading and delivering design work on transmission projects up to 400 kV, including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, and structural analysis. You’ll support feasibility studies, ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, and produce engineering deliverables within a hybrid, multi-disciplinary team shaping major energy infrastructure like the Great Grid Upgrade.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and deliver overhead line design activities, including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, and structural analysis and selection of conductors/insulators.
•Support feasibility studies and conductor thermal ratings, identifying the technically preferred solution for client presentation.
•Ensure projects meet safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards and adhere to design management processes.
•Contribute to engineering deliverables such as complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.
•Collaborate within the Transmission & Distribution team to engage with clients and deliver technically challenging OHL design projects.
