Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate equipment (start/stop/regulate) to maximize efficiency and output while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.
  • •Monitor equipment conditions in the control room and on site, using indicators and test equipment; diagnose and report abnormal conditions.
  • •Read, interpret, and apply technical information from manufacturer/OEM manuals, electrical and mechanical P&IDs, and operating/maintenance procedures.
  • •Inspect equipment, complete scheduled checks, prepare reports/log entries, and help execute unit outages for inspections, overhauls, repairs, and cleaning.
  • •Prepare permits and administer SAFE Access to Plant (or similar systems), perform disconnect switching, and render equipment safe for permit work.

Key Requirements

  • •High school degree or equivalent education.
  • •Valid driver’s license.
  • •1 year experience operating and/or performing maintenance on equipment (e.g., engines, generators, boilers, mechanical/electrical auxiliaries, fuel, or chemical and water systems), or an associate’s degree in an industrial-related field.
  • •Knowledge of job safety requirements and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • •3–7 years of related experience in power plant operation and maintenance is strongly preferred.
