Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain compliance with cash handling, credit card/electronic transactions, and personal information protocols.
  • •Ensure inventory is well-maintained and organized on the sales floor and in the storage room.
  • •Manage and maintain merchandising standards, including for the Visitor Associates team.
  • •Share information about new products, upcoming events, and inventory changes with Visitor Experience Associates prior to shifts.
  • •Provide excellent customer service and act as the point person for questions about store products.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role in hospitality or retail, preferably in a museum or nonprofit environment.
  • •Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
  • •Required to work weekends and some evenings for special events and extended museum hours.
  • •Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to stay composed and communicate clearly in emotionally charged or emergency situations.
  • •Proactive, detail-oriented approach to store processes, merchandising, and inventory maintenance (Shopify and POS experience is a plus).
