Key Responsibilities

  • •Up-level publicity campaign workflow and execution, instilling publicity excellence as the team and business scale.
  • •Act as a strategic thought partner to peers across Marketing, Content, and Communications to execute country, title, and brand campaign strategy.
  • •Convey Japan-specific cultural needs and nuances and manage cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Develop and maintain relationships with high-profile traditional and new/emerging media, including influencers and digital creators.
  • •Manage team budget and monitor key metrics to assess campaign effectiveness, identify improvements, and support team growth and development.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years building strategic, creative PR campaigns, ideally in entertainment (TV/film), streaming/studio, lifestyle/sports brands, social/content platforms, or a publicity agency.
  • •Fluency in Japanese is required; business-level English is preferred.
  • •Strong people-management experience, including coaching, developing talent, and providing/soliciting constructive feedback.
  • •Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to think strategically and lead campaigns or new ideas.
  • •Deep knowledge of the Japanese entertainment industry, including talent/creators and relevant local and global media trends.
