Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation after completing routes.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs) and be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform physically demanding loading/unloading tasks.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to speak professionally and remain focused in a busy environment.
