Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure accounting records are prepared and maintained per accounting policies, chart of accounts, and accounting principles; verify subordinate ledgers reconcile to the general ledger.
  • •Review and sign vouchers (BPV, CPV, JV, RV, etc.) to confirm correct booking to the right cost code and cost center, ensuring thorough review of voucher types.
  • •Review accrued expenses monthly and validate depreciation processing for fixed assets to ensure depreciation expense direction is correct.
  • •Prepare the monthly trial balance and perform/review monthly bank reconciliations for current accounts and bank liabilities; review vendor reconciliations prepared by accounts payable.
  • •Support HSE initiatives, contribute to incident reporting and resolution, and oversee internal controls over financial transactions and certain contracts tied to financial reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of relevant accounting experience in Venezuela.
  • •Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a professional qualification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • •Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
  • •Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; SAP functional knowledge is required/preferred.
  • •Strong leadership/management skills to guide and support accounting professionals for accurate, timely reporting.
