Key Responsibilities

  • •Own requirements definition, schematic capture, layout guidance, and RTL architecture for a multi-Gbps mixed-signal PCBA sensor bridge, carrying the design through prototype, validation, and manufacturing release.
  • •Design and validate high-speed digital interfaces (CSI-2, GMSL2/FPD-Link/PoC, 10GbE) with signal integrity, impedance control, length-matching, and power tree architecture.
  • •Define FPGA device selection and develop RTL for camera ingest, Ethernet packetization, timestamp/metadata insertion, and deterministic multi-camera/multi-IMU synchronization.
  • •Develop validation plans and execute board/FPGA-level testing; build test fixtures and debug across the hardware/RTL boundary using lab equipment.
  • •Manage the full component lifecycle and align with vendors/contract manufacturers using PLM, while collaborating across engineering teams and providing technical mentorship.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience with depth in FPGA hardware design for time-sensitive, high-performance applications.
  • •Strong FPGA device selection and architecture definition, with RTL development in VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • •Experience designing high-speed interfaces including CSI-2 and GMSL/SerDes, as well as Ethernet-based sensor streaming.
  • •Proven timing closure, clock-domain crossing, resource/power budgeting, and signal-integrity fundamentals across the board-to-FPGA boundary.
  • •Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
