Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform system engineering for complex payload and system architectures for GEO/MEO/LEO satellites using optical and RF transmission.
  • •Process payload offers and projects and develop next-generation payload architectures focused on digital signal processing.
  • •Investigate and develop payload concepts for optical satellite communications for global missions.
  • •Integrate multi-beam active antennas and reflector antennas into communication networks with inter-satellite links.
  • •Assess and validate payload architectures using end-to-end analyses for availability, data rate, and lifetime; develop AI-enabled application scenarios.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s (or equivalent) in Information/Communication Engineering.
  • •Very good knowledge of microwave/communication engineering and digital transmission systems, data networking, and system design.
  • •Knowledge of digital signal processing and optical communication is desirable.
  • •High motivation, creativity, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • •Willingness to work internationally and across disciplines, with good German and English skills (written and spoken).
