Key Responsibilities

  • •Support implementation of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms and SOPs for vaccine-preventable disease surveillance, case investigation, reporting, and response.
  • •Provide technical leadership for regular disease-specific risk assessments, preparedness, investigation, and response to VPD outbreaks (measles, rubella, poliomyelitis) at national and subnational levels.
  • •Coordinate and support capacity-building and training for VPD surveillance, outbreak investigation, contact tracing, outbreak response, and reporting.
  • •Provide technical advice to strengthen lab-based disease surveillance networks and support sequencing priority pathogen determination as part of national strategy.
  • •Contribute to epidemiological bulletins and analytic products and prepare/present updates on the national and international epidemiological status of VPDs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s-level degree in medicine, epidemiology, health informatics, public health, or equivalent fields.
  • •At least two years of professional experience at national level in health systems/public health and infectious diseases surveillance, including VPD surveillance and epidemiology.
  • •Demonstrated experience working in/with public projects and multiple stakeholders (national policymakers, NGOs, and private sector).
  • •Good knowledge of infectious diseases surveillance architecture and relevant systems in Ukraine.
  • •Expert knowledge of English and expert knowledge of Ukrainian.
