Job Summary

Develop and analyze mechanical designs for electronics mechanical packaging, including Circuit Card Assemblies and units that power and control sensor processing. Lead small teams and collaborate with cross-functional groups to drive form/fit/function, design reviews, and trade studies. Support assembly and integration in factories and with suppliers, manage tasks to schedule and technical goals, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop technical solutions across the product lifecycle for missiles/launchers support equipment and electronics for military programs.
•Perform mechanical design analyses using engineering fundamentals to validate form, fit, and function for intended use.
•Lead small teams and apply expertise in structures, thermal, harness and interconnects, electronics packaging, tooling, and/or integration.
•Support product assembly and integration at factories and suppliers to assess requirements compliance for domestic and international sites.
•Conduct design reviews and trade studies, manage tasks to deliver on schedule, budget, and technical goals, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
•Experience leading a mechanical engineering team and/or collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to solve technical challenges.
•Experience managing tasks and delivering on schedule, budget, and/or technical goals.
•Experience with design reviews and/or conducting trade studies to support engineering decisions.
•Experience with mechanical design analyses to ensure form, fit, and function for the intended use.
