Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead ESG strategy development, integration, and management for the Copper Mountain mine and the British Columbia business unit.
  • •Manage end-to-end ESG data collection, validation, and publication of the annual Corporate Sustainability Report and related disclosures.
  • •Own site-based greenhouse gas accounting across Scope 1, Scope 2, and material Scope 3, and support carbon reduction roadmaps and energy efficiency programs.
  • •Collaborate with site teams on water management, tailings safety, waste minimization, and biodiversity conservation, and conduct internal sustainability audits.
  • •Partner with Investor Relations, Communications, and Community Relations to articulate sustainability performance and support socio-economic and human-rights inputs into disclosures.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, Resource Management, or a related discipline.
  • •More than 5 years of direct experience in corporate sustainability, ESG strategy, or environmental management in industrial/natural resources/mining/energy/infrastructure.
  • •Professional accreditation such as ISSP-SA/CSP, FSA Credential (SASB), PE, or relevant GHG accounting certifications.
  • •Exceptional quantitative skills for data validation, auditing, and trend analysis.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication to translate complex data into strategic executive summaries and public reports.
