Job Summary

Build and evolve Sarwa’s backend platform by developing APIs, data pipelines, and domain logic that power investing features. Work on a microservice architecture spanning Investing, Trading, Account Management, and Funding, ensuring services scale to tens of thousands of clients. Own projects end-to-end with stakeholders, write automated unit/integration tests, improve code quality and production reliability, and continuously adopt new practices and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain a microservice architecture across Investing, Trading, Account Management, and Funding.
•Flesh out APIs, data flows/pipelines, and integrate with 3rd-party services to deliver new and extended features.
•Own and deliver software projects by collaborating with stakeholders on requirements, business logic, and solution scope.
•Ensure high-quality, resilient systems by managing complexity, ensuring data consistency, and handling errors at scale.
•Test developed code with automated unit/integration tests and improve tools/processes to support production systems.

Key Requirements

•Strong production experience with Python/Go and a backend framework (e.g., Django, Go, .Net, Laravel, Rails) for sizable user bases or high-volume data.
•Strong problem-solving skills to build robust, maintainable systems that scale.
•Strong fundamentals in backend architecture patterns, including databases, APIs, caching, and security practices.
•Experience with microservices, domain-driven architecture, clean architecture, and event sourcing (a plus).
•Excellent teamwork plus written and communication skills to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
