Job Summary

Oversee B-shift meat production at the Waterloo Pork Plant, ensuring safe operations, high production, quality, and yields. Maintain control of the production process with accurate record keeping, line maintenance, and staffing. Check daily production orders, confirm positions are filled before start-up, and ensure machinery performance and USDA inspection readiness. Manage inventory/shipments, reworked product records, and quality training while promoting safety daily.

•Maintain high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment.
•Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders and ensure positions are filled before line start-up.
•Oversee team member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
•Ensure machinery performance and that workstations have passed USDA inspection.
•Oversee processing operations, work with other supervisors to solve problems, and keep records of reworked/returned product.
