Job Summary

Design and validate mechanical solutions for data center IT rack feasibility within the Infrastructure Solutions Group. You’ll interpret technology collateral to create mechanical designs, conduct analyses and simulations (including FEA), and prepare test plans to validate function, reliability, and compliance. Partner with cross-functional engineering stakeholders to support early feasibility investigations for air- and liquid-cooled systems using Creo or SolidWorks.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support development of data center infrastructure and high-density rack solutions.
•Use 3D CAD tools (Creo or SolidWorks) to design and modify sheet metal, plastic, die-cast, and other mechanical components and assemblies for air- and liquid-cooled systems.
•Perform component design activities including concept development, prototyping, testing, and design validation to meet performance and manufacturability goals.
•Apply engineering analyses and simulation tools, including FEA, and interpret technical specifications, test data, and supplier documentation to drive design decisions.
•Coordinate with internal stakeholders to create robust designs and support product requirements during early feasibility investigations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 88,800 - 122,100

Key Requirements

•2–3 years of experience in electro-mechanical product development with exposure to air or liquid cooling technologies through coursework, internships, research, or industry.
•Experience with 3D CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks.
•Exposure to mechanical design of sheet metal, plastic, die-cast, or electromechanical components.
•Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical datasheets, and specifications.
•Basic understanding of engineering analysis tools, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
