Job Summary

Lead development projects from early scope through estimates, schedules, and risk planning. Partner with Business Development and Execution to define scope alternatives, facilitate planning sessions, and support go/no-go decisions with executives. Develop Class estimates using best practices and tools like PDRI, benchmark cost/schedule trends, perform contingency modeling, and ensure designs and constructed assets meet regulatory and operational requirements in Calgary, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with Business Development and Execution to establish project scope and scope alternatives that meet customer needs.
•Facilitate project planning sessions and incorporate departmental input into scope alternatives for estimates.
•Develop unclassified estimates, associated risks, and schedules to support new business opportunities and go/no-go decisions.
•Provide Class estimate development support for Expansion Projects, including risk registers, schedules, basis of estimates, and estimate reviews.
•Ensure project designs and constructed assets comply with regulatory requirements, and evaluate scope/design change requests for impact on EBITDA, reliability, and operations.

Key Requirements

•Engineering degree in an applicable discipline; professional engineering designation (P.Eng) and registration with APEGA.
•Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline and oil or gas processing, including design, construction, and project management.
•Familiarity with labour, safety, and environmental regulations and Canadian codes/standards for pipelines and hydrocarbon-processing facilities (e.g., CSA Z662).
•Knowledge of AACE and PMI best practices in estimating and project management.
•Proficient in Microsoft Project and project scheduling tools, with ability to manage multiple assignments and coordinate stakeholders and contractors.
