Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide safe operation of assigned aircraft and crew and act as final authority for safety matters.
  • •Plan flights by checking weather and all applicable NOTAMs, and determine weight and balance, fuel, oil, and survival equipment requirements.
  • •Ensure aircraft is airworthy with required registration and documentation on board; keep aircraft system databases current.
  • •Complete pre-flight inspections before departure and brief passengers according to requirements.
  • •Record flight times and aircraft defects, communicate with the Director of Maintenance as needed, complete post-flight duties, and maintain required licenses/certificates and training proficiency.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 2,000 hours of helicopter certified total flight time, including 1,000 turbine and 1,000 PIC time.

  • •Experience operating helicopters in mountainous terrain and external load operations, including precision Part 133 external load operations.
  • •Commercial Helicopter Instrument qualification.
  • •Second Class FAA Medical Certificate.
