Job Summary

Lead the Orchestration team within APeX, building and operating a reliable, cost-efficient workflow orchestration platform that powers Netflix analytics and machine learning. Partner with product and cross-functional engineering teams to shape strategy, improve stability and performance, and deliver on critical priorities. Manage and grow a geographically distributed team while driving strong engineering rigor across 24x7 operations and high-scale data workflows, including Maestro and related systems.

•Build and run extremely reliable platform systems for high-scale, critical workloads with 24x7 on-call and strong availability/MTTR practices.
•Ability to dive deep on technical strategy trade-offs while also zooming out to shape the product direction.
•Bring rigor to decision-making to reduce ambiguity, gather input, and validate direction through pilot investments.
•Experience with orchestration and/or big data analytics technologies (desirable): Spark, Trino/Presto, Snowflake, BigQuery, RedShift, Druid, and LanceDB.
