Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage the Examinations and Assessment team and ensure effective planning, delivery, monitoring, and review of assessment activities.
  • •Own and maintain the Technical Institute Assessment Strategy and ensure assessment policies, procedures, and controls are implemented and adhered to.
  • •Create and manage a forward assessment calendar with scheduled assessments, re-sit opportunities, and complaints/appeals procedures.
  • •Forecast and plan resources; identify assessment-related training needs and implement standardisation for staff involved in invigilation and marking.
  • •Capture and analyse assessment data to identify risks, trends, and improvement actions that impact learner outcomes, and provide required reports and pass/student class lists.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree-level qualification in Education (or closely related field).
  • •Demonstrable knowledge of examination and assessment principles (formative, summative, diagnostic, certification) and assessment evaluation methods.
  • •Experience working in a management or leadership position within an educational context (e.g., exams office, programme management, academic coordination).
  • •Demonstrated experience managing examinations and assessments, including scheduling, invigilation, integrity/security, marking, moderation, and results processing.
  • •Strong organisational planning and problem-solving skills, with confident senior-level communication and stakeholder management.
