Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end design, analysis, and validation of new mechanical products and sub-assemblies through mass production, including ownership of manufacturing data packages and assembly drawing creation.
  • •Provide daily technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less-experienced mechanical engineers while balancing milestones across multiple concurrent projects.
  • •Establish and apply mechanical engineering best practices, latest innovations, and machine shop manufacturing knowledge to support technically excellent designs and make recommendations for mechanical capital equipment purchases.
  • •Steer conceptual design and mechanical architecture planning sessions and own the mechanical review process by leading robust design reviews against functional, economic, and specified requirements.
  • •Oversee complex mechanical simulations (Thermal Flow, Strain/Stress, FEA, Torque analysis), solve problems using structured approaches (mental models, DOE, test tools), and communicate status, architectural decisions, and risks to cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum) and at least 9 years of professional experience as a technical subject matter expert, lead engineer, or technical mentor.
  • •Advanced mechanical design and 3D modeling experience using Solidworks (Pro/E considered a plus).
  • •Deep experience designing injection-molded parts, including selecting/recommending plastic materials and creating assembly and detail drawings with precise tolerances.
  • •Experience with high-volume product design and related domains such as thermal printer mechanisms, paper handling systems, or dispensing equipment.
  • •Excellent written and oral communication to solve complex problems independently and influence technical direction, with occasional travel as needed.
