Key Responsibilities

  • •Responsible for fleet maintenance and airworthiness of Hawk aircraft in accordance with safety, quality, cost, schedule, and customer requirements.
  • •Ensure sufficient maintenance personnel coverage, and that personnel are trained and authorised to perform aircraft maintenance activities.
  • •Provide leadership to the team, coach and develop personnel, and foster a high performance culture.
  • •Oversee aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance, ensuring it is performed, supervised, and inspected per instructions, orders and publications.
  • •Identify and report maintenance opportunities and risks, and develop mitigation strategies while maintaining an unwavering commitment to Safety, Health & Environment (SHE).

Key Requirements

  • •Significant maintenance management experience covering operational and production maintenance activities.
  • •Tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent to meet Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) requirements for DASR Form 4 delegation.
  • •Engineering qualifications that satisfy requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
  • •Technical leadership with demonstrated people leadership experience managing a team and providing direction and motivation.
  • •Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure in a dynamic environment.
