Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure birds have fresh water, proper diet, shelter, and comfortable resting areas.
  • •Prevent and detect pain, injury, or disease through preventative measures and prompt treatment.
  • •Maintain strict biosecurity and farm hygiene (protective clothing, boot dips, dusting/cleaning, sweeping, and nest box cleanliness).
  • •Collect, weigh, and record egg collections accurately each day, including house temperature and mortality.
  • •Follow all farm health and safety rules and procedures, and complete other reasonable requests from the Farm Manager.
