Job Summary

Lead AeroVect’s autonomy organization end-to-end, owning the technical direction and multi-year roadmap across perception, prediction, planning, controls, and localization. Manage and scale a team of autonomy engineers, drive execution cadence, and ensure delivery against the autonomy roadmap. Serve as the primary autonomy interface across systems, safety, platform, hardware, simulation, and product, staying deeply technical through design reviews, debugging, and trade-off decisions.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the entire autonomy stack (perception, prediction, planning, controls, localization) end-to-end, technically and organizationally.
•Set and own the multi-year technical roadmap, including long-term architectural direction across modular and end-to-end approaches.
•Manage the autonomy team across modules: build org structure, hire senior talent, run operating cadence, and ensure roadmap delivery.
•Serve as the primary autonomy interface across systems, safety, platform, hardware, simulation, and product, owning cross-boundary trade-offs.
•Stay technical by participating in design reviews, pushing back on technical decisions, and debugging the hardest problems with the team.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 300,000 - 350,000 annually

Key Requirements

•15+ years of hands-on experience building production autonomy systems across multiple modules (localization, perception, prediction, planning, controls).
•Demonstrated track record shipping autonomy components that have run in production on real vehicles at non-trivial scale.
•Direct management experience leading an autonomy or robotics team of 15+ engineers, including senior and staff-level ICs.
•Experience running the operating cadence of an autonomy organization (planning, prioritization, technical reviews, performance management).
•Fluency with modern deep learning for autonomy and experience working in or with ROS/ROS 2 and real-time on-vehicle compute constraints.
