Key Responsibilities

  • •Under indirect and intermittent supervision, patrol overhead/underground circuits and report, locate, and restore service.
  • •Inspect and operate automatic substation equipment and perform routine or emergency switching as directed.
  • •Respond to customer trouble calls and make repairs/adjustments to restore residential, commercial, or industrial service.
  • •Test circuits and equipment for open/ground/short circuits and clear them when possible.
  • •Perform related skilled work such as stringing/reinstalling services, replacing line/transformer/substation fuses, and documenting work via requisitions and reports.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 57.11 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
  • •One year of experience as a Lineman or successful completion of the Apprentice Line Troubleman Training program.
  • •Thorough knowledge of overhead line construction and standard practices.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL.
  • •Be adept in artificial respiration and able-bodied with alert, neat appearance.
