Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead TBI’s research programme on geoeconomics and digital assets, including policy papers, reports, and strategic analysis.
  • •Assess how emerging financial technologies reshape geopolitical competition, monetary sovereignty, and international finance, and turn findings into policy recommendations.
  • •Advise political leaders, ministers, and senior government officials on digital finance policy and sovereign digital financial infrastructure.
  • •Publish and provide thought leadership through research, opinion pieces, and policy commentary, and represent TBI at international conferences and forums.
  • •Build relationships across governments, regulators, central banks, multilaterals, and industry, convening working groups and coordinating internally.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in geoeconomics, international political economy, digital assets, financial innovation, or financial policy.
  • •Experience producing high-quality policy research or strategic analysis.
  • •Experience advising governments, international organisations, or senior policymakers.
  • •Strong understanding of geopolitical trends affecting international finance.
  • •Strong understanding of digital assets, stablecoins, tokenisation, CBDCs, digital financial infrastructure, and related international financial systems.
