Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise all critical cementing jobs at rigs during drilling and ensure work follows recommended specifications, procedures, and policies.
  • •Coordinate with ONGC and participate in client morning/evening meetings, working with client field management and cementing operators for day-to-day field operations.
  • •Plan, design, and coordinate cementation jobs and provide technical support for pressure testing and associated cementing units, equipment, and tools.
  • •Ensure deviation minimization in slurry design compared to contract reference packages in consultation with the contractor’s laboratory.
  • •Submit comprehensive well completion reports within one month and conduct post-job analysis with corrective measures for improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Base Engineer and Field Supervisor must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Petroleum.
  • •Must be qualified and fully trained in cementing engineering to perform cementing jobs and testing/analysis/interpretation of results.
  • •Base Engineer must have at least seven years’ experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or fifteen years’ experience with a Diploma.
  • •Must have planned and supervised primary cementation of at least three offshore U-HPHT wells with BHST above 300°F.
  • •Experience supervising critical cementing jobs and supporting compliant offshore execution in line with procedures and specifications.
