Job Summary

Lead the modernization of the identity platform by migrating legacy ForgeRock AM to a cloud-based IAM service. You’ll direct and coach a small team of IDAM engineers, partner with a strategic vendor during migration, and own ongoing enhancements and releases. Serve as the internal technical lead for IAM, manage integrations with digital squads, and ensure secure, resilient authentication/authorization across customer journeys, APIs, and applications. Own complex escalations with third-party managed support.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the migration of legacy ForgeRock AM to a cloud IAM platform with vendors, internal engineers, and wider technology teams.
•Manage, coach, and provide technical direction to a small team of internal IDAM engineers across change and run activity.
•Serve as the internal technical lead for IAM, ensuring alignment to enterprise architecture, security, and operational standards.
•Own ongoing changes, enhancements, and releases for the IAM platform post-migration.
•Integrate IAM into customer journeys, APIs, and applications; manage authentication/authorisation patterns and IAM configurations (SSO, MFA, federation, access policies), and monitor/resolve incidents with third-party managed support escalation.

Key Requirements

•Lead IAM or IDAM engineering teams with technical direction, coaching, and day-to-day delivery oversight.
•Strong IAM/IDAM platform experience, ideally including ForgeRock AM and/or PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud.
•Experience leading or supporting migration and modernisation of legacy platforms, preferably to cloud IAM solutions.
•Strong knowledge of authentication/authorisation technologies including OAuth2, OAuth2-based flows, FIDO2/WebAuthn, OIDC, SAML, MFA, SSO, and federation.
•Experience working with third-party vendors or managed service providers, including escalation management and knowledge transfer.
