Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy power equipment (e.g., cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, pneumatic tools, and tracked/wheeled vehicles).
  • •Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects; dismantle and reassemble equipment, replacing defective engines/subassemblies and testing overhauled equipment for operating efficiency.
  • •Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
  • •Weld broken parts and structural members; repair, adjust, and maintain mining machinery.
  • •Work both indoors and outdoors and perform duties in environments with periodic overtime and exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather.

  • •5+ years heavy equipment maintenance experience.
  • •Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
  • •Good verbal and written communication skills.
