Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Maintain and repair heavy power equipment used on-site at Fort Hood, TX. Diagnose malfunctions, rebuild and maintain machines such as cranes, shovels, scrapers, paving machines, graders, dredges, pumps, compressors, and tracked/wheeled vehicles. Operate and inspect equipment to identify defects, use hoists and hand tools, measure parts with micrometers and gauges, perform welding and repairs, and test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency in demanding indoor/outdoor conditions.
