Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform the role of Commission Manager, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery for large or complex commissions.
  • •Act as the key, day-to-day client interface to ensure client objectives are met through a value added cost management service.
  • •Manage feasibility studies, procurement reporting, estimating and cost planning, procurement stages (pre-qualification through contract preparation), and production/presentation of monthly post-contract cost reports.
  • •Administer post-contract cost variances and change control, manage cost checking and valuation, and negotiate and agree final accounts.
  • •Apply value engineering and life cycle costing, lead a cost management team where appropriate, and take responsibility for developing new business opportunities and cross-selling.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven cost/quantity surveying and commercial management experience.
  • •Preferably MRICS.
  • •Experience of post-contract administration and managing cost variances and change control.
  • •Experience working on major programmes and projects.
  • •Experience in leading and managing teams, with infrastructure delivery experience (Rail, air/aviation, Water/Utilities, highways).
