Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment, including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, power steering, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related diagnostics.
  • •Conduct DOT inspections and preventive maintenance, and complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • •Remain current on safety training and perform all work in compliance with organizational safety/health/environmental policies and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
  • •Document work on Repair Orders by uploading pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings using a company-issued device and proprietary application.
  • •Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch (and clients/customers) to obtain approvals, purchase order numbers, discuss findings, and address vehicle problem descriptions. Read and diagnose with test instruments when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (light & heavy duty preferred).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job duties.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; may submit a current DOT medical card with more than four months remaining.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and have a valid state driver’s license; maintain Driver Qualification File and meet 3 YR MVR review requirements.
  • •Ability to follow safety and compliance requirements for DOT/FMCSA regulations and maintain situational awareness while working independently.
