Key Responsibilities

•Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with orders and requisition documentation; brings discrepancies to the attention of Natera product management leadership.
•Verifies patient by reading patient identification.
•Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
•Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following Natera procedures; observes isolation procedures.
•Tracks collected specimens by initialing, dating, and noting times of collection; maintains daily tallies of collections in Natera provided system.
•Maintains quality results by following Natera procedures and testing schedule; records results in the quality-control log; identifies and reporting needed changes; reports KPIs to product management leadership biweekly.
•Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations.
•Resolves unusual test orders by contacting physician/pathologist/nursing station/reference laboratory; refers unresolved orders back to the originator for clarification; notifies internal Natera team of unresolved orders.
•Enhances Natera’s phlebotomy reputation by accepting ownership for new requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
•Complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policies and procedure compliance, and security training within 30 days of hire.
•Works with PHI in paper and electronic form and accesses PHI using various technologies to perform the job.
•Reports SPI or CAPA or NCR issues to internal Natera product management leadership; assists with managing phlebotomy equipment at the PSC; may require heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
•Travel for stocking supplies may be required; onboarding, training, and retraining phlebotomists as needed for volume increases.
•Assists with managing PSC vendors; phlebotomy program management: monitor distribution and claiming of blood draws, monitor customer feedback, manage escalations.
•Manage scheduling issues; ensure ongoing communication regarding draw statuses; maintain general phlebotomy knowledge for PSC location per state regulations.
•Maintain current status on Natera training requirements.

Key Requirements
