Job Summary

Optimize manufacturing processes for OEM aero/industrial nozzle production, improving product quality and solving technical issues across manufacturing, assembly, and testing. Serve as an MRB member to resolve nonconforming product issues, reduce Cost of Poor Quality, and drive cost-saving and process improvements. Collaborate with design engineering, develop production workflows, routings, and bills of materials, and build tools/fixtures/gauges in SolidWorks for safe, efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate and resolve non-conforming product issues as a Material Review Board (MRB) member.
•Minimize Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) for assigned product lines by defining and solving technical problems in manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
•Implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives, including development of efficient production workflows and operation sequencing.
•Design tools, fixtures, and gauges using SolidWorks; support fixture development and laser marking programs and operator instructions.
•Develop build plans for New Product Introduction (NPI) using RTX-Lifecycle-Program-Management (RLPM), and maintain production routings and bill of materials while working with suppliers and customer engineering/quality as needed.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a university degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
•Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering (manufacturing, operations, aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or related field).
•Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with MS Project is a plus.
•Hands-on experience in machining, assembly, fixture/tooling design, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
