Key Responsibilities

•Manage the JV staff to assure performance of construction projects, including constructability reviews, bid support, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, Quality Work Plans, Safety Work Plans, phasing, look-a-head schedules, and change orders.
•Oversee training, onboarding and assignment of staff to supervise project management and inspection of contracts with Small Business contractors, providing mentoring to meet project completion dates and improve performance.
•Ensure contractual compliance of all construction activities and oversee safety and quality of work by supervisory/inspection staff.
•Provide direction to Contractors and project staff for PM requirements, including field oversight, progress meetings, record keeping, daily reports, submissions, material tests, contract compliance, payments, change orders, phasing reviews, schedules and budgets, inspections, and protections for MTA services.
•Ensure environmental, health and safety standards are followed and reporting requirements met; minimize disruptions to transit operations in line with project phasing plans and permits.
•Meet with MTA Project, Program and Executive Management to report on status of program elements; collaborate with training staff to improve program effectiveness.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 230,000 - 270,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of full-time experience in Construction Management.
•Professional Engineer’s License issued by the State of New York; CCM or PMP Certification may be considered.
•Transportation infrastructure construction experience with the work of the MTA or similar public agency.
•Experience managing a large group of technical and administrative staff across multiple projects, adhering to budget and schedule.
•Experience with Scheduling, Cost Estimating and software such as MS Project, MS Office; ability to produce high-level reports for executive management and legislative oversight.
