Job Summary

Build and optimize the infrastructure behind large-scale e-commerce recommendation systems for TikTok Shop. You’ll design offline data architectures and flexible, high-performance storage and computing systems, improve online service stability and offline data-flow performance, and resolve production bottlenecks. Working with applied ML engineers, you’ll develop data pipelines and analytics to turn structured and unstructured data into actionable insights, using modern distributed big-data frameworks.

•Design and implement offline data architecture for large-scale recommendation systems.
•Build flexible, scalable, stable, high-performance storage and computing systems.
•Troubleshoot production systems and implement mechanisms/tools to ensure stability and availability.
•Develop distributed storage and computing systems to support massive data and large-scale business systems.
•Create techniques and analytics to transform raw data into meaningful information, applying data mining, modelling, NLP, and machine learning and producing reports/visualizations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
•At least 3 years of relevant experience in big data/related engineering.
•Familiar with open-source big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Hive, Flink/FlinkSQL, Spark, Kafka, HBase, Redis, RocksDB, and ElasticSearch.
•Proficiency in Java, C++, and other programming languages.
•Strong coding and troubleshooting ability, with enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
•Willing to challenge problems without obvious answers.
