Job Summary

Provide individual and group career counseling to help students explore interests, strengths, and goals. Guide educational and career pathways, support college applications and financial aid options, and develop career plans and achievable targets. Maintain and use career resource databases, coordinate career fairs and workshops, and administer career assessments to deliver tailored recommendations. Work closely with staff and communicate with parents to support inclusive, student-centered career development.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to help students explore career interests, aptitudes, and goals.
•Provide guidance on educational and career pathways, including college/university options, vocational training, and alternative routes, and support students in developing career plans.
•Maintain an up-to-date database of career resources and collaborate with school staff to organize career fairs, workshops, and guest speaker events.
•Administer career assessments and interest inventories, evaluate student performance and attributes, and guide students through the college application process including financial aid options.
•Offer individualized support for students with special needs or learning challenges and advise on resume writing, interview skills, job search strategies, and professional networking while collaborating with parents and school staff.

Key Requirements

•At least one year of school-based experience or prior experience working with schools and students in a careers advisor/counseling capacity.
•A degree in education, psychology, or counseling.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and gain their trust.
•Knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and practices related to social and emotional development.
•Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and school personnel while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
