Job Summary

Serve as the second attorney and the CLO’s primary working partner across commercial, compliance, employment, and regulatory matters. Own contracting operations and contract workflows, including CLM-driven contracting databases, while building AI-enabled legal workflows to replace manual processes. Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, and People to draft, review, and negotiate agreements and to scope, execute, and track compliance programs, stepping in on high-stakes issues as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as a true legal generalist across commercial agreements, compliance programs, employment matters, regulatory questions, and strategic projects.
•Manage commercial contracting processes, including templates, playbooks, workflows, and maintaining the contract database through a CLM solution.
•Build AI-enabled legal workflows to replace manual processes across contracting, research, compliance tracking, and intake.
•Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements and drive process improvements to make contract operations faster and more scalable.
•Serve as a trusted legal partner to cross-functional teams and support the CLO on high-stakes matters like outside counsel management and regulatory responses.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,000 - 250,000 annually

Key Requirements

•JD from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in any US jurisdiction, with 4–9 years of experience across law firm and/or in-house roles.
•Proven generalist ability to handle commercial, compliance, employment, and regulatory work in a fast-moving environment.
•Legal ops experience with an AI-forward approach, including hands-on experience building or operating AI-enabled legal workflows.
•Clear, direct communication with non-legal stakeholders, translating legal analysis into practical guidance and building working relationships.
•Self-directed, ownership-oriented track record of identifying problems early, creating a work plan, and following through with minimal oversight.
